Yesterday in the evening we experienced a walking tour through Odense guided by Anna and Erik Rasmussen, our local coordinators. There we got an impression about cultural aspects of the city.
We started our Sunday by making a trip to the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen. On our 2 ½ hour busride to Copenhagen we crossed the sea via the “Storebaelt Bridge” which is 7 kilometers long. Also, we had a "Leture on the Road" on Danish Language and learned some important words...
Arrived in the capital we met our guide for a tour in the old town. Starting at the amusement park “Tivoli” we had a look at the “Town Hall” of Copenhagen. Our guide told us very interesting facts about Copenhagen itself, its history and aspects about diverse sights we passed by. Afterwards we got a short impression of the castle “Christianborg Palace”, the seat of the Danish parliament. Our guide showed us also the court and she gave us an insider tip to visit the “Post and Telemuseum”. We ended this informative tour at the place “Copenhagen Stroget” in the middle of the pedestrian zone.
In the second part of the day we had the possibility of either going into a museum or visiting some other sights, e.g. the “Little Mermaid” or the “Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek” with its current exhibition about Kleopatra´s World.

Later in the afternoon we had to leave the rainy city to arrive back in time, because we had to work on our term papers. Some of us used the busride back to Odense for this task.
Even though it was raining in the morning it was a nice day ending with sunshine.
